The Light in the Lake has received its first trade review, and it’s a star from Kirkus! Kirkus awards stars to “books of exceptional merit”, and I’m absolutely thrilled that my book received this honor.

Reviews can be harrowing for authors. True confession: I’ve had nightmares about getting bad ones, and I know at some point I will. But right now, I’m so glad that my book has resonated with some readers. It’s really what every writer wants.
